The coach Tite announced this Monday (7) the 26 called up to defend Brazil in the dispute of the World Cup in Qatar. The list was released at the headquarters of the CBF (Brazilian Football Confederation), in Rio de Janeiro.
The big surprise was the presence of veteran right-back Daniel Alves, 39. The player will compete in the World Cup for the third time in his career. “Daniel Alves’ criteria reward individual technical quality, physical and mental aspects”, justified Tite.
Of the 26 called up by the coach, 16 have never played in a World Cup. And only three of them work in Brazilian football today. Goalkeeper Weverton, from Palmeiras, and midfielder Everton Ribeiro and striker Pedro, from Flamengo.
