A universally superior Olympiacos broke through with a score 21-9 Dinamo in Tbilisi for the second matchday of the Champions League.
After the great victory over Pro Reco in the premiere, the “red and whites” continued to show their strength by celebrating another impressive victory.
The absolute protagonist was Giannis Fundouliswho stopped at seven goals.
Olympiacos entered the game like… furious and quickly took a 5-1 lead. The hosts reduced it to 5-2 with Saric, but Olympiacos with a streak of four goals made it 9-2.
After a scoreless four minutes, Dynamo scored their only goal of the second period to cut it to 9-3, but Vamos responded immediately and extended the lead to seven goals again for a 10-3 halftime lead, while with start of the third period made it 11-3.
Dynamo cut back to 11-4, with Olympiacos going on another three-goal run to make it 14-4. For the first time in the match, the home team scored two consecutive goals (14-6), but again the “red and white” responded with four goals by the end of the third quarter (6-18).
The fourth eight minutes was more balanced. Dynamo found the back of the net twice, with Olympiakos responding with equal numbers of Gouvis and Papansstasiou for 20-8. Mourikis made it 21-8 two minutes before the end, while McGrakvelitze in exhalation made the final 21-9.
