Palmeiras reaches agreement with Real Madrid for striker Endrick, says newspaper

Palmeiras entered into an agreement with Real Madrid to negotiate striker Endrick, 16 years old. The proposal offered by the merengue club could reach 60 million euros (R$ 329 million), the value of the player’s termination fine to go to clubs abroad.

The information is from the Spanish newspaper Marca.

By negotiation, according to the newspaper, the contract would be for three years with an option to renew for another three. The player’s presentation, however, would only take place in 2024, after he turned 18, on July 21.

The value of the transaction would be 35 million euros fixed (R$ 192 million) plus 25 million euros (R$ 137 million) in variable bonuses, depending on the striker’s use of the club’s shirt. If Endrick’s development is as expected, the total amount will be the termination fine with Verdão.

The club has 70% of the athlete’s economic rights and the family, the other 30%.

If the negotiation between the clubs would already be finalized, the transfer still could not be carried out because, according to Marca, there is a bureaucratic pending with Fifa, as it is an agreement involving an underage athlete.

The newspaper’s report explains that Palmeiras was unable to insert the transaction data into the FIFA Transfer Matching System, which is the platform enabled for this. Until this registration is made, the contract cannot be signed.

If the negotiation works, Real will have won a great competition for the player. In addition to the meringues, arch-rivals Barcelona, ​​French PSG, Italian Juventus and the English Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea had already shown interest in having the alviverde jewel.

He, however, never hid his desire to defend Real, where four other Brazilians play, Vinicius Junior, Casemiro, Rodrygo and Militão.

This year, Endrick became the only player in the history of Palmeiras to win titles in all categories he competed in, under-11, under-13, under-15, under-17, under-20 and Copa São Paulo de Futebol Junior 2022 , in addition to the Brasileirão with the main cast.

In this last competition, he played seven games and scored three goals, winning the championship revelation award.

This performance ended up drawing the attention of international scouts and he began to be harassed by representatives. At the end of November, he went to Europe with his father, Douglas Ramos, to visit interested clubs.
