Jason Kordoutis won the Young Men (Under 21), Chrysi Fotiadou the Young Women (Under 21) and Despina Aba the Girls (Under 15) at the Cyprus International Table Tennis Tournament in Nicosia. Also, the final of the simple K21 was a Greek affair, with Alexandros Madesis taking second place, while in the children’s singles Costas Milikoudis was second in Under 15.
That is, together with the three first places and the second place in the team, the Greek team had six gold and three silver and was by far the strongest among the seven countries that competed in the “Evangelos Florakis” Training Center.
Costas Sotiriou, Stella Tzaridou and Lemonia Gaidatzi also competed in Megalonisos.

Thus, in the exciting final, last year’s Greek champion of the category (Kordoutis) and this year (Madesis) met and the former prevailed with 4-2 sets.
In the women’s singles K21, Fotiadou closed the year ideally, after the two titles in the singles of the Young women and the juniors. He advanced exceptionally from the top of the “8” board and, after eliminating Kigatian with 4-0 and Bakshazuan with 4-2, defeated the Cypriot F. Meletier in the final with 4-0 sets.
Gaidaji was defeated in the quarterfinals by Bakhtsajuan 4-0 set.
In the boys’ K15 singles, Milikoudis reached the final, prevailing on the board of Theofanous with 3-1 and Stepanian with 3-2 sets and a reversal from 0-2 sets. In the match for the first place of the podium, he was defeated by the Cypriot Elias with 3-1 sets. From the final winner of the category, Sotiriou was also defeated in the octave with 3-2 sets.
In the girls’ K15 singles, finally, Aba prevailed in the final of Santaka, which was the second favorite, with 3-0 sets. In the semifinals, he had defeated the first favorite, Pogosian with 3-1 sets, while in the round of “8” he had eliminated El Hassani with 3-0. Tzaridou had some annoyances, could not fight and was eliminated on paper by Santaka in the octave.
