by

Pelé’s thirtieth day in the hospital was marked by farewell. This Thursday (29), the king of football died, leaving family, friends and fans, at the age of 82, in São Paulo. The first to say goodbye to her father publicly was Kely Nascimento.

In the photo published by her, several people cradle Pelé’s hands. “Everything we are is thanks to you. We love you endlessly. Rest in peace,” she wrote on her Instagram.

The record cites the profile of family members, including Flavia Arantes do Nascimento, Arthur, Celeste, Ruby, Joshua, Edinho, Gemima McMahon, Ella, Sophia, Stephany, Gabriel and Octavio.

Edinho, the player’s son, returned to Paraná to lead training at Londrina, where he is a coach, right after spending Christmas with his family at Albert Einstein Hospital.

He published this afternoon a photo in which he appears running hand in hand with his father. “Go with God my Father,” he wrote. The coach was relieved of his duties and is traveling to São Paulo today, where he will meet his family.

Octavio Felinto Neto, the star’s grandson, published a photo with his grandfather and brother. His mother is Sandra Regina, who was recognized as Pelé’s daughter in court and died in 2006 as a result of breast cancer. She had no contact with her father.

On Wednesday (28), Octavio and his brother, Gabriel Arantes, appeared in a photo alongside Kely and Flavia Arantes do Nascimento, daughters recognized by the player.

The brothers made a joint post on Instagram in which they said that “to make mistakes and to succeed are part of our life, not everything is a thousand wonders, every family has fights and raids, ours is no different, but at times that union and love are more important than anything”.

“I thank God for having provided this moment, because it was what my mother dreamed of the most, there are things that some plant and others reap, and we are reaping,” he wrote in another excerpt.

Stephany Nascimento, Pelé’s first granddaughter and Edinho’s daughter, published a video with several moments with her grandfather.

“Thank you for bringing my father and his brothers into the world. Thank you for choosing us to be your family. Thank you for everything you did for all of us, always without measuring efforts. We’ll see you soon! I love you forever “, he wrote.

Another grandson of Pelé, Arthur, published a sequence of photos on his Instagram profile, in which he appears as a baby, a boy, and already a teenager, next to his grandfather in the hospital.

“Certainly, today is a very painful day, the most painful day of my life,” he wrote.

“Grandpa Dico, you are my idol and always will be, regardless of where you are, on earth or in heaven, and I will always be your bean Tutu. Now there are only good memories left together”, he says in another excerpt.

The family also shared a photo of the King on his official Instagram profile. In black and white and dressed in a suit, Pelé appears smiling.

“Inspiration and love marked the journey of King Pelé, who peacefully passed away today.

On his journey, Edson enchanted everyone with his genius in sports, stopped a war, carried out social work around the world and spread what he most believed to be the cure for all our problems: love.

His living message becomes a legacy for future generations,” says the caption.
