Patras is the 1st station for 2023 and the 4th overall in the period and also meets a significant response, as was the case with the games in Volos, Athens and Alexandroupolis.

The deadline for the statements ended yesterday. The “Ioannis Asimakopoulos” tournament, which will take place on January 14 and 15 at the “Kostas Petropoulos” indoor gym and is dedicated to the memory of the former president of the federation’s Western Greece/Peloponnese Local Committee, has 176 finals declarations of participation. The relevant deadline ended on Tuesday and 41 unions from every side of the country actually showed their interest. The 176 statements are divided into 26 teenagers, 13 teenagers, 40 girls, 22 girls, 33 boys, 8 girls, 28 mini girls and 6 mini girls. In addition to the clubs of Patras, there will be sports clubs from Athens, Tripoli, Amaliada, Corinthia, Alexandroupolis, Chania, Thessaloniki, Kavala, Florina, Chios, Ioannina, Kozani and Orestiada. .

The organization of the “Ioannis Asimakopoulos” open championship has been undertaken by the Western Greece/Peloponnese Local Committee of the federation. The draws for the groups (i.e. the 1st phase, which is avoided by some category favorites) will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023.
