Aeratos Tsitsipas again in the semifinals of the Australian Open!

by

Unstoppable o Stefanos Tsitsipas rescheduled his semi-finals Australian Open! The leading Greek tennis player prevailed 6-3, 7-6(6-2), 6-4 of the rookie Jiri Lehetska and advanced to the Melbourne semi-finals for the fourth year and third in a row.

The 21-year-old Czech, who celebrated his first victory on the main draw of this year’s event, was competitive on his serve, but had no answers against the No. 4 in the world ranking.

In the semi-finals, Stefanos Tsitsipas will face Karen Katsanov, having a 5-0 record in games with him.

Lehetska made it difficult for the Greek champion in the second set, with Tsitsipas “cleaning” with a dominating performance in the tie break and “cleaning” with… the third set.

Tsitsipas didn’t leave much room in the first set. He laid the foundations early on, as with a break (with tremendous persistence, after he needed five break points) he quickly escaped to 2-0 and with a love game he confirmed his dominance for 3-0. Lehetska with a weapon reduced the serve to 3-1, with Tsitsipas continuing his strong serve for 4-1. The Czech led his opponent to easy mistakes and made it 4-2 with love, but Tsitsipas reduced it to 5-2 with similar ease. Lehetska answered for 5-3, but the Greek tennis player left no room with his powerful serve and made the 1-0 set 6-3.
