The passer of Panathinaikos, Athena Papafotiou was named MVP of the 13th game of the Women’s Volleyball League championship.
The experienced Greek player and captain of the “greens” had an excellent presence in the derby with Olympiakos in Rentis, having 3/3 attacks while being unerring in sharing the game for her teammates.
Athina Papafotiou commented on her promotion as KYANA MVP:
“Every time you beat an opponent who has the same goals as you, you are filled with satisfaction and joy! It’s a reward that keeps you going and as athletes we live for those moments. We know that especially these games have a special weight. But we know very well that we have a long way to go, everything is judged in the end and that’s why these feelings are ephemeral. We have specific goals and we work athletes and coaches every day to make them happen. We use every win and every loss as lessons to be ready when we need to be and we are committed to it. We are happy to play strong games and the championship this year offers a high and unpredictable spectacle. Since we have not managed to be the number 1 women’s sport on television, we invite the public to fill the stadiums and support the efforts of all female athletes”.
