Abudu Abbas is back in action for Virtus!

On September 27, 2021, the Virtus Bologna announced that the striker Abudou Abbas suffered a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament of the right knee.

Almost a full year later, at the end of September 2022, the Eurocup champions announced that an arthroscopy had been performed on the player’s right knee and he would begin the rehabilitation process again to be re-evaluated in 90 days. In the meantime, Mr Abbas had returned to action in a friendly game with Venice in Cavalino, but he suffered another injury that put him out again.

Now, after another four months, Mr Abbas he is finally ready to return and this Sunday, he will likely play in the Serie A match against Verona, adding another solution to his grasp Sergio Scariolo.

In the summer of 2021, he extended his contract with Virtus until 2024, adding another year to the previous deal, which expired in 2023.
