“Goodbye” and in a touching way he said to Bradford Sergi Kanos.

The 26-year-old winger said goodbye to his football “home” for several years (2015-16, 2017-23) and is preparing for the new challenge of his career, which is Olympiacos, which he announced its acquisition on Monday afternoon.

With his post on Instagram, the Spanish ace showed how close he is to his former team.

His post in detail

This is probably the most difficult moment of my career since I came to Brentford in 2015. Today is the end of something special.

The day I got seriously injured, I knew I would come back stronger. Some defeats are harder to accept, but I knew we would come back. This is something different.

Brentford was and will always be my home. Here, I have fulfilled my dreams. I still get emotional when I remember the final at Wembley or the night of our Premier League debut against Arsenal. These memories will stay in my heart forever.

After 249 games, I have to say goodbye to you all. A new chapter in my career is knocking on my door. A new chance to get my happiness back on the pitch and enjoy football again. To my Bees (s.s. Brentford) family, I will always have you by my side.

I appreciate the love and support my fans have given me on this journey together. It was an honor to see so many kids proudly wearing my name on the back of their jerseys… I want you to know that here I was the happiest kid playing football. Wherever I go, I will always be proud to have been a Brentford player.”
