Since 1987, “Lampsi” has stood as an important “pillar” and is based on the belief that every child with cancer deserves the best possible medical, psychological and financial care, regardless of financial means or social class to which it belongs.

We express our deep gratitude, but we also sincerely thank the deputy president of the Super League Katia Koxenoglou and all the Super League teams, who once again strengthen our work.

As a representative of “Shine” I fully support that childhood cancer CAN be cured and that February 15th is a wonderful opportunity to join hands and help all children who are sick and their families.”

For her part, Mrs. Maria Tryfonidis, president of the Board of Directors. of the “Floga” club, emphasized:

“World Childhood Cancer Day has been established around the world on February 15.

It is a day to raise awareness of the needs of children with cancer, dedicated to those children who are now facing cancer with courage and bravery, to those who have recovered, but also to those who are no longer with us.

On behalf of the parents and children of Flogas, the Panhellenic Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Disease, we would like to thank the Super League for its multi-year and multifaceted contribution.

Every year, he is by our side, strengthens us morally and materially and strengthens our voices. Together we deliver the most powerful and meaningful message: “Childhood cancer CAN be cured”.

World Childhood Cancer Day aims to inform and sensitize the wider social environment about the needs of children with cancer and the importance of early diagnosis.

It is estimated that, in the world, every year, 250,000 children suffer from cancerof which only 20% have access to proper medical care.

80% of them come from developing countries, where there is no possibility of diagnosis and proper treatment.

More than 150,000 deaths each year could have been avoided if early diagnosis and specialist treatment had been available to all children.

In our country, it is estimated that every year they get sick 280 – 300 children.

80% of them, with specialized treatment, win the battle for life.

In childhood cancer it does not exist preventionhowever early diagnosis cures most children.

Therefore, special attention should be paid to:

· in the training of health professionals, so that they are able to diagnose the disease in time and

· proper information for parents, so that they can contact pediatric hospitals in time.

The “Flame” and “Shine” Associations

they are next to the families, share their fears and anxieties and support their struggle in every way.

They strive to properly inform the public about childhood cancer and dispel prejudices.

Childhood cancer can be cured!

Children have the right to proper medical care, regardless of their ethnic, social or economic status!

Children with cancer need all of us!
