A new operating framework will be set by SEGAS in the three major training centers that host the Greek champions.

As announced, the entrance to the closed training centers will be done with a specific program, while the federation will distribute free self tests to the athletes.

In detail, the announcement:

«The technicians of the Federation had an internet meeting on Wednesday night (29/12) with the vice-president of SEGAS, Costas Kenteris and the general secretary and president of the Health Committee of the Federation, George Giatroudakis.

The meeting took place on the occasion of the increase of covid-19 cases throughout the country and with the aim of taking decisions that will lead to the protection of the three major training centers (OAKA, Agios Kosmas, Kaftanzogleio). The meeting was attended by the technical director Christos Meletoglou, the development category technician, Stefanos Matakis, the heads of departments: George Pomaski, Ioanna Siomou, Christos Papadopoulos, Dimitris Theodoridis and Despina Pakitos and the development technicians of Vassilos Kassilodos P

The aim of the Federation is to protect athletes, coaches and at the same time to keep the facilities open, as otherwise there will be serious problems in the winter preparation of the athletes just one month after the start of the indoor games.

During the meeting, it was decided the new operating framework of the closed training centers, according to which the entrance to the closed facilities will be done with a specific program, which will be notified to each of the Centers. This will reduce congestion and reduce the likelihood of illness of those in the facility.

At the same time, at the suggestion of Giatroudakis and Kenteri, a self-test will be procured, at the expense of the federation, which will be distributed to the three training centers, in order to have greater control and limitation of the spread of covid-19. Finally, it was decided to systematically disinfect both the closed training centers and the hostels “.
