Koumendakis on bwinSPORT FM: “These games must be advertised and played with people”

Olympiacos was victorious in the second European derby against Panathinaikos, pulling off the upset and celebrating qualification to the CEV Cup final.

The extreme of the “red and white”, Raphael Koumentakisspoke to bwinSPORT FM about his team’s great victory, stressing that the only sad thing was that such a big game was played without the presence of people in the stands.

“This is the sport. Believe it or not, you have to fight him every time, every point with everything you have and as best as you can. That’s what we did today, it worked out for us and we won. On Saturday we played against the same Panathinaikos, they were better and beat us. These games should be advertised and played with people on the field. That was the only sad thing, but we came here thinking only that we would qualify. We weren’t thinking about anything else”he initially reported, then referred to the upcoming finals with Maccabi, saying:

“Now we want to calm down a bit and celebrate. Today was a game with a lot of intensity, which gives you a lot of emotions. We want to calm down and we will think about Maccabi when the time comes. For now we have Panathinaikos again in a few days and we will concentrate on that”.
