Bernard: “The victory against Aris gave us confidence”

THE Panathinaikos performed very well, prevailing 2-0 of Volos in Leoforo, as part of the 23rd matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.

With his statements to the Cosmote TV camera, Mr Bernardspoke of the importance of tonight’s three-pointer, stating that last week’s win over Mars in Thessaloniki he gave the necessary self confidence to the “greens”. For the match and the victory over Volos: “Today’s victory is very important. We tried to go back to our good old days, where we had more possibilities with combinations. The victory against Aris in Thessaloniki gave us confidence. As you saw today we had a good image, with 1-2 passes we entered the opposing defense. Both the fans and ourselves liked the game.”

For the reaction of Panathinaikos with the three consecutive victories: “I think the league is difficult and you have to look to beat them at home. Like away games, if that’s not possible, at least don’t lose. In the league wins when the one who concedes the fewest goals, but also the one who is more concentrated as a team. If you don’t score goals, you’re in trouble. In the playoffs we will face strong teams. We should enter there well structured and focused.”
