AEK got Golubovic

“Union” proceeded to acquire the Serbian Inter, George Golubovicwho has played for many countries and teams, while he has also worn his jersey in the past Diomedes of Argos.

The relative announcement states:

“AEK is pleased to announce the start of its collaboration with George Golubovic.

The 30-year-old (20/05/1992) Serbian international, 1.92 m tall, plays as a right winger and joins the Club’s men’s handball team until the end of this season.

Djordje Golubović started professional handball from Partizan, where he played for three whole years (2008-2011). In fact, in 2011 they faced AEK in the quarter-finals of the Challenge Cup.

They were followed by the Spanish León (2011-12), the Hungarian Czurgo (2012-13) and the Spanish Gijon Juvelanos (2013-14). The next three years were spent at Metallurg (Skopje), Slask Wroclaw (Poland), Metalloplastika (Serbia) and Sur Aarau (Switzerland).

From 2017 to 2019 he competed in the Romanian Championship, while in 2020 he wore the shirt of Diomedes Argos. In the 2021-22 season he played in Tinex Prolet (Skopje), while this season found him in Slovakia and Tatran Presov.

George Golubovic told aek.gr: “I feel very good to come to a Club with such a history. I know the players, the league, due to my previous experience in the Greek league. The whole team, the team leaders and the Management have welcomed me very warmly.

Of course, our goals are high. I want to help the team in my turn to win both the titles it claims, the Championship and the Cup”.
