Totally satisfied with his image Ferran Torres Xavi appeared in his statements after Barcelona’s 2-0 victory over Cádiz, for its 22nd matchday LaLiga.
The Blaugrana coach said the 22-year-old produced one of his best performances with the Barcelonawhile he added that the championship may not have been won yet, but he is in a very good position ahead of the continuation with the eight points difference from the second place, Real Madrid.
What Xavi said in detail:
“The first half was excellent. Especially for the players who had played less in the last matches. They deserved to play”Xavi initially said and continued.
“They played really well, especially Ferran, who had one of his best games since he’s been here, as did Sergi Roberto. They have been criticized a lot, but they are still here and still working and performing well. Torres always works for the team, sacrifices himself and helps the backs in defense. For a coach, it’s a treat.
The work that Ferran does is excellent. He is a humble kid, who is very good in training, so we have renewed our confidence in him.
We haven’t won the league yet, but we are in a very good position and eight points ahead of Real. So, we will continue like this in all the remaining matches.”
