“Cleaned up” in the second half and Benfica maintained the difference

Benfica with three second-half goals defeated Boavista 3-1 at “Da Luz” in the match that ended the 21st matchday of the Primeira Liga and maintained +5 at the top of the standings from the second place and Porto, coming with goals from the 2-0 win over Club Brugge last Wednesday for the last 16 of the Champions League.

In contrast, the 2001 champions remained -8 out of the top five.

The “eagles” were vindicated for their efforts against the “black and white” of Porto in the replay, where they scored with Gilberto Junior in the 55′, Gonzalo Ramos in the 82′ and Musa in the 92′ and after Njie’s equalizer in the 58′, and, despite João Mario’s missed penalty in the 72nd minute.
