Say goodbye to her national team of Spain The Sergio Ramos! The 36-year-old with his post on social media announced his retirement with the jersey of his country, leaving spikes for the Luis De La Fuente.

The defender characteristically wrote that the coach of the team told him that he does not count him in his plans, while Ramos emphasized that he would like to leave by his own choice.

THE Ramos debuted with the coat of arms on the chest on March 26, 2005playing one half in the 3-0 win against China after being selected by the then coach, Luis Aragones. Write in total 180 appearances with his hometownscoring 23 goalswhile he has raised 2 euros and 1 World Cup.

“The time has come. Time to say goodbye to the Spanish national team. In La Roja. This morning, I received a call from the current coach informing me that I am not and will not be in his plans regardless of how I perform or what I do in my career.

With a heavy heart, it is the end of a road that I hoped would continue further and that would end with a better taste in my mouth, on par with all the success we achieved with La Roja. I honestly believe that this journey deserved to end by my own choice or because my performances were not at a level worthy of our national team. Not because of age or other reasons which, although I have not heard them directly, I have certainly felt. Because age in itself is not a virtue or a flaw. it’s just a number that doesn’t necessarily relate to performance or ability. I admire and envy players like Modric, Messi and Pepe. It is the essence of tradition, values, meritocracy and justice in football.

Unfortunately, it won’t be like that for me because football isn’t always fair and football is never just football.

This is something I have to accept, although with this sadness I share with you but also with my head held high, and thanks for all these years and for your support. I leave with unforgettable memories, all the titles we fought for and celebrated together and the immense pride I feel as the most capped Spanish international of all time. This badge, this jersey and these fans, all of you, have made me happy. I will continue to support my country with the passion of someone lucky enough to represent it proudly 180 times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who believed in me!”
