Levadeiakos and Panaitolikos neutralized each other and stuck to zero

by

Levadeiakos and Panaitolikos showed up below the occasion and lost to zero, for the 24th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League.

In a match without rhythm and with few good phases in front of both home teams, the two teams failed to find the way to the net, taking a point each. The very strong wind played an important role in the fact that we did not watch a quality game, which made the efforts of the footballers very difficult.

So, after the final 0-0, Levadeiakos reached 14 points and left behind Lamia in last place, while they remained without a win for the ninth consecutive game. As for Panaitolikos, they failed to follow up on the previous week’s victory against Ionikos, reaching 28 points and remaining in 7th place in the standings.

In the mind of the coaches

With 4-2-3-1 lined up the home team Levadeiakos o Yannis Petrakis, who did not have Geremegev, Lua Lua, Viho, Toro, Moutinho and Bahanak available for various reasons, while Chapras was left out at the last minute, due to an infection. Groff was under the posts, with Dentakis at right back, Paz and Liagas in the center of defense and Panagiotou on the left. Hammond and Nikas were the duo in midfield, with Dabo in front of them and Vrakas, Gianniota and Sako in the attack.

On the other hand, Mr Yannis Anastasiou choose it 4-3-3 for Panaitolikos, with Dagos, Bakakis, Mali, Chatzitheodoridis, Voilis, Stergiakis, Apostolopoulos, Lazaridis, Nikolaou and Rayia out of the team. Graterol was again chosen instead of Anestis as goalkeeper, while Liavas, Mladen, Larsson and Huhoumis formed the foursome of the defense. Dias, Martenson and Kolovos were a trio in the center, Sengelia had the role of left winger, Duarte the left winger, while Karelis was at the top of the attack for the guests.

The match

THE Levadian was the team that entered the match more dynamically, creating the first chance for a goal in the 5th minute, when A bag made an impressive individual effort and cross-shot from the left, with Graterol to drive with difficulty in corners. Two minutes later (7′) Panagiotou threatened again for the hosts, with his cross-shot going just over the crossbar.

The visitors then leveled the match, taking possession of the ball, while the very strong wind affected the efforts of the footballers. In the 20th century Gianniotas he moved quickly, but crossed to Hokhumis, while later in the phase, Vrakas shot to Graterol.

In the 28th Karelis found himself in a very advantageous position after a beautiful long ball from Duarte, but failed to control and finish. No rhythm and long phases in the first half, with Kareli to come closest of all to scoring, in the 38th minute, when after a pass from Dias he failed to beat Groff from a lateral position.

Unlike the first half, o A pan-eater it was he who came on stronger in the second half, with Kolovos taking the ball in the area and with his back to goal, making a misplaced off-balance finish. In the 51st minute, Duarte shot from far, high out, while in the 54th minute, Levadian “answered”, with Vrakas crossing from the left and the ball countering, surprising Graterol. However, the goalkeeper of Panaitolikos managed to save with great difficulty, just before the ball crossed the line.

With the pace of the match not improving, o Dumbo he entered the visitors’ large area and found himself lying on the grass after a duel with Houhoumis, but Manouhos and VAR showed “you are playing”. In the 73rd Huanpiwho entered the match as a substitute making his debut for Panaitolikos, entered the Levadeako area with claims, but was too late to shoot and was cut down by Liagas.

Entering the “final stretch” of the race, o Levadian he pressed and looked for the winning goal, with his free kick Dumbo to pass a little past the right post of Graterol, while in the 87th minute after a corner kick and a mistimed exit by the Panaitolikos goalkeeper, the very active Vrakas he didn’t have time to throw himself in the path of the ball to push it into the net. So, the 0-0 he stayed until the end, in a game that will not soon be forgotten.

Levadeiakos-Panaitolikos 0-0

MVP: In a game where none of the players impressed, the title of most valuable goes to Graterol. The goalkeeper of Panaitolikos declared himself “present” whenever he was threatened by the attackers of Levadeiakou, being the first reason why the match remained at 0-0.

The whistle: Manouchos’ arbitration in Livadia was without particular problems. In the 65th minute, he correctly showed “you are playing” in cooperation with the VARs, when Dabo asked for a penalty after marking Hokhumi.
