Bakabu: “Four teams equally claim the title, let’s be careful in the playoffs”

THE Cedric Bakabu made statements on Cosmote TV, where he commented on the recent double over AEK but also on the upcoming playoffs, stressing that his team should be careful.

What he said in detail:



On the atmosphere in the team after the victory over AEK: “Of course our psychology is top at the moment, but we have to be careful because the hardest part begins now. We know that we have been doing well lately, but in the playoffs we have to be very careful. It’s a tough process and we have to be consistent.”

On his goal celebration at the OPAP Arena:

“There was really a lot of pressure on everything about this match. For me personally, because I hadn’t scored in a derby, but also for the whole team because we knew that if we won there it could be decisive. That’s how I got this celebration at that moment.”

On whether he aims to be the top scorer at the end of the playoffs:

“Yes, it would be nice, but that’s not my goal. What matters is that the team wins. Also, the goals I score are always due to my teammates because without the assists I cannot score”.

For Olympiakos’ chances of winning the championship:

“It is very difficult to talk about probabilities and make any predictions. I think that there are four teams in equal contention for the title and all games will be very loud, very intense. That’s why we’re here, that’s why we play football, to try to cope in tough games as best as possible.”
