The curtain opens today on the battle that the teams from 7th place and below in the standings will fight to avoid relegation.

At the start of the “race” 3 teams have their backs against the wall, while the remaining 5 want to avoid any unpleasant surprises, in a year where the last two teams are directly relegated.

ASTERAS TRIPOLIS – PANAITOLIKOS

So far, they have been in the Playouts process twice, with both matches being held with Panaitolikos at home. The two teams drew (1-1) both in the match that took place on June 28, 2020, and in the one that took place on April 16, 2022, which ended 0-0.

The last three games between them, independent of home, have ended in a draw and even without a goal being scored, since all of them are 0-0.

Asteras Tripoli finished the regular season of the league with 13 draws, i.e. half of the games they played. Eight were at his headquarters and five away from it.

Panaitolikos had 8 draws in their 26 games, while scoring 26 goals, i.e. one per game, in contrast to Asteras Tripoli who have 19, i.e. 0.73 per game.

OFI – LEVADEIAKOS

The two teams closed the regular season of the league with the game against each other in Viotia and now they are at the starting point of the Playouts with a match in Heraklion.

OFI has prevailed in the last two games it has hosted Levadeiakos, while in the last five that have been played, the home team has always won. In fact, there is continuity in the score, with 2-1 and 2-0 in 2018-19 and again 2-1 and 2-0 in the matches between them for the regular duration of the championship.

The most popular score in their matches is 2-0, with six appearances involving three victories of OFI and three of Levadeakou.

OFI this season has only two wins in 13 home matches, while Levadeiakos has not managed to win away from home and finished the regular season of the league with three draws and ten defeats in their travels.

FEARLESS – IONIC

There is no tie so far in the nine meetings between the two teams for the A’ National/Super League in both venues. Atromitos prevailed this season in both their matches, home and away, with an impressive 4-1 in Nice and 2-0 in the Second Round of the championship.

The two opponents do not have a great past in the big division, having coexisted in the last two years of Ionikos in the First National/Super League, before taking his big break and returning to the division in 2021-22. In 2005-06 and 2006-07, Atromitos prevailed in three of their four meetings, while on their return the Nice team took two victories in 2021-22.

In the second round of the championship, Atromitos managed to score two victories at home, one against Ionikos (2-0) and the other against Levadeiakos, while in the first half they had three wins in Peristeri.

LAMIA – GIANNINA

The winner is the draw in the matches between the two teams with Lamia as the home team. So far they have met five times in Fthiotida and all three games have ended in a draw.

The only victory of Lamia is from April 29, 2018 and was for the penultimate game of the season, with Piti and Omo writing 2-0 and Halkiadakis reducing it to 2-1 in the 76th minute.

Both games in this year’s championship ended in a draw and with the same score (1-1). PAS Ioannina remains unbeaten in the last four, after winning both games in 2021-22, while they did not meet after the regular season, after the Epirus team had participated in the Playoffs and Lamia in the Playouts.

Lamia is the team that has collected the fewest points in the games played against each other in the regular season of the league, with just one win (against Levadeaikos) in seven home matches against all their opponents in the Playouts.
