Panathinaikos: Insisted on referees from top leagues – Proposed UEFA and FIFA membership

by

Panathinaikos did not change its attitude regarding his already expressed, at the meeting of the six teams participating in this year’s Stoiximan Super League play offs with Steve Bennett, for the arbitration

“Clover” was represented by its owner and president, Yannis Alafouzos but also the vice-president of PAE, Leonidas Butsikarisrecording the actions that should be taken by the KED and the EPO on the matter.

There, then, Panathinaikos through Mr. Alafouzou insist on choosing elite referees from the top ten leagues or even the incoming A-class referee. Something he “shouts” about… continuously and consistently, that is…

On the other hand, the owner of the “green” PAE was absolute about their origin. Clarifying that, so that we don’t have “Dabanovitch effects”, representatives of underdeveloped – footballing – countries should be excluded… by bat!

Also, Panathinaikos proposed to request the assistance of UEFA and FIFA both for finding and protecting the referees who will blow the whistle in the Greek league.

Giannis Alafouzos was one of the first to speak at the meeting, before leaving around 13:00 as he had informed the parties involved.

It is worth noting, in fact, that the “strong man” of the “greens” also pointed out that had personal contact with “higher levels” of UEFAwanting to clarify the landscape.

However, the difficulty was transferred to him, as well as the negative attitude that exists from several UEFA elite level referees to come to Greece!

Yiannis Alafouzos concluded by pointing out that the only requirement for Panathinaikos is to have equality throughout the ranking matches in the “mini league”.

After his departure from the meeting, PAE Panathinaikos continued to be present throughout the process by Leonidas Boutsikaris.
