EPO for national team shirt: “Approved by UEFA – Refers to the anniversary of the Greek revolution”

“Regarding what has come to light in recent days regarding the new jersey of the National Team, the Hellenic Football Federation clarifies the following.

This jersey was designed by the Sponsor company of the Federation after the submission of a prototype proposal by an Italian design house. Its selection was made in 2021 by the Executive Committee of the EPO during another presidency and the plan refers to the 200th anniversary of the Greek Revolution.

The final approval was given by UEFA, which thoroughly scrutinizes the approvals it gives in these cases.”
