Cowan: “Christopoulos gave me confidence to be able to play my game”

by

For changing his role in the second half of the season because of his confidence Yannis Christopoulosbut also about the Eurocup playoffs, the “machine gun” of Prometheus spoke on the official website of the event, Anthony Cowan.

The American guard even emphasized that the team that will advance to the playoffs will be the hungriest since at this time of the season everyone feels tired.

On the responsibilities in his role that have grown over the course of the season:

I think it was a matter of adaptation. I think at the beginning of the year, with our previous coaching staff, my role was really different. He was very stagnant in terms of how much I would play or what I would do in the game. And I think in the second half of the year, I really started to feel comfortable. And the coach showed me that confidence, to have the ball in my hands, to be able to play my game. So yeah, I think the second part of the season really helped me be myself».

For the last game of the regular season against Hapoel Tel Aviv:

We want to finish the regular season strong. They beat us the first time in Patras, so we’re excited to go there and obviously we know we’re going to get a great atmosphere there. And we don’t shy away from that. We love these atmospheres to play in»

Ahead of the upcoming Eurocup playoffs:

It’s definitely exciting. I think this might be the first playoff that Prometheus is in. And the way it’s played brings us back to March Madness, so I’m definitely looking forward to it. I think the hungriest team will win. I feel like at this part of the season, everyone is tired. Basically everyone has played everyone, so everyone knows how to attack and how to defend.

So I think it just depends on who is hungry and who wants it more. I think we have to prove that to have the best possible chance to go as far as we can
