His desire to compete in the upcoming World Cup in her jersey Dominican Republic expressed the Carl Anthony Towns.

The Minnesota Timberwolves center talked about that possibility, saying that playing for the Caribbean country is a great honor because you are considered a hero, while also referring to the years he played for the Dominican Republic as they qualified for the World Cup again.

“In the summer I like to travel, work (on his game), I’m weird! I like to train, to make my game more efficient, I have played this game so much that I know what to expect on the pitch when someone marks me.

I never felt like anyone could stop me so I didn’t feel like I had to work on anything, whether it was 5v5 or 1v1. I know they can mark, but that’s how I feel personally. But this summer might be different. Because this summer I want to play with the Dominican Republic team.

“It’s hugely rewarding when you hit a goal, here or there. The reward you enjoy is completely different. I played for the Dominican Republic National Team and I remember we qualified for the World Cup. It was the second time we hit it off, right before my fourth year of college. It was crazy. Streets are named after you, you are a national hero.” were his words.

It should be noted that Towns has represented the national team of the Dominican Republic since 2012, since the age of 16, while he has mastered the gold metal in the Caravaiki tournament, which had been held the same year in Puerto Rico.
