The update of Olympiakos
The first meeting of HIEP (Handball International Educational Project) by the European Commission was held with great success in the previous days, in Rome, at the “Stadio Olimpico”, in which Olympiakos was “present”. The specific program aims to promote the development of handball coaches at the European level.
The HIEP project is being developed in collaboration with EPSI-The European Platform for Sport Innovation, Master Group Sport, the Ovidius University of Costanza (Romania), the Olympiakos multisport team, the handball department and the Italian association L’Orma.
The main objective of the program, which has a duration of 36 months, is to spread handball through the development of common models, to increase participation in the sport, especially among young people. At the same time, the project aims to research the best practices in the training of coaches at the European and national level both in handball and in other sports. In addition, there is an international training course for coaches, who are given common training at the European level. There are also local activities such as coaching classes and youth activities.
