Panathinaikos lost 81-73 to Olympiakos in SEF for the 32nd matchday of the Euroleague, with the coach of the “greens”, Christos Serelisto stand on the improvement presented by his team in the last derbies of the “eternals”, while making it clear that the season is not over yet and everyone must strive for the best.

In detail what the coach of Panathinaikos said:

“It was a tough match for almost 40 minutes, we lost in the details from some mistakes in our defense, but also from some shots we wanted but we didn’t have the determination to take them. It is the second game that against Olympiakos we showed our improvement, with the whole roster we will be very competitive in the Greek championship which is now our last goal of the season”.

“I think there were two key elements tonight, the first being Black. We expected that with our defense maybe we had that problem. The second was the creation of Walkup. We had played better defense in OAKA on him. While we were in the match we didn’t change the defense so as not to put other guys in the equation. We ate a very important three-pointer from Vezenkov, a three-pointer that is very easy for him now. We paid for it.”

“I use new players if they work and return the trust we show them. I mean we lost so we can’t be satisfied. We have suffered two painful defeats in Greece. The new guys should be used to see if they can eventually help the team. The season is not over, everyone has to try their best. Like Mandzoukas tonight, in a difficult venue, in a close game”.
