Tim Hardaway Jr. took … distance for his father’s comments about Irving, Doncic!

“They lack a leader, Luca is not a leader, Kyrie is not a leader. These two guys are complementary, dominant players and great scorers.”the 56-year-old said.

I’ve come out several times and said how much leadership Doncic has shown throughout my time here in Dallas. Regarding Kyrie Irving, Hardaway Jr. said: “Kyrie has been nothing but a leader, ever since he’s been here he’s been making sure everyone’s good on and off the court, texting the team, in a players-only chat, to make sure everyone’s good.”

To continue: “It’s hard to deal with this. I love my teammates. I love every team I’ve been a part of and my teammates, so to focus on that rather than the game is disappointing. I love my father and he made a mistake. It was his opinion, not mine. My father and I are two different characters and that’s the only thing I can say.”
