Burnley: One step closer to returning to the Premier League

by

Even from today the Burnley to solemnly seal her rise to Premier League. Unless Luton beat Millwall today and Burnley beat Middlesbrough tonight, they will seal their return to the Premier league. And this just one year after her relegation.

Of course, even if this does not happen today, Burnley will easily conquer the Championship as the first as after 38 games they are at the top with 84 points while the second Sheffield United follows with 73. In order not to secure direct promotion, they would have to reach them one of Luton and Middlesbrough who are at 67, a very difficult fact if one judges the course of Vincent Kompany’s team this year.

With 74 active goals and only 29 passive goals the best defense but also the best offense in the category proving amply why he is at the top of the leaderboard.

Burnley is one of the oldest English clubs as it was founded in 1882, and along with 11 others created the first league in 1888. It holds two league titles (1920-21 and 1959-60) and has an FA Cup from way back in 1914.
