The coach of the “greens” commented on the fact that Olympiacos has made it difficult for his team this year, in view of the derby between the two teams, emphasizing that the two teams now know each other well.

“For us now any result, if it is not a victory, is a bad result. Especially now at this stage of the league. But also in general for a team like Panathinaikos, any result other than victory, if we exclude a derby or anything else, is considered an unsuccessful result and the footballers and we who work with them and the team, as a team, must understand this thing. “This thing is not strange. Olympiacos continues to be a team that has been champion for several years, having lost only two championships. So he has both the quality and the permanent element of championship, which when he is in good playing condition, of course and having great quality, he can impose himself on the playing field, with any team, not only with us. Yes, they were better than us in terms of the competitive part in the two games we played this year in the regular season and they ended in draws. But every game is different and we always have the same thing in our thinking. That especially now, in this process we are in, we must win if we want to be closer to our goal. But I think it’s always a different game. We must be – looking at the recent match we played a few weeks ago – much more decisive, much stronger in the duels, in the second balls. It will be an open game all over the pitch as both teams will want to win this game. It’s going to be a lot about the details, the pressures, the runs, the fewest mistakes, because I think regularly we don’t have a lot of things that one team can do to the other. And they know us well and we know them well. So I think that the duels will be a very important part and for us to be more concentrated in terms of our own game”
