A UEFA Class A referee and not an elite one, the Aliyar Agagev from AzerbaijanKED set in the repeat semi-final of the Novibet Greek Cup between Olympic and AEK on Holy Wednesday (19:30).
The 35-year-old referee will have his compatriots Zeynalov and Emirali as assistants and Masiyev in the VAR. The fourth referee will be Stathis Gortsilas and VAR assistant Konstantinos Nikolaidis.
Agaev had been appointed to referee the first match, which had been postponed due to the Tempe tragedy, and when he was appointed again, Montenegrin Dabanovic officiated.
This year he was in a Champions League match, Copenhagen-Dortmund 1-1, as well as in two of the Europa League groups (Sturm-Midland 1-0 and Union Saint-Jiloise-Braga 3-3).
