He returned to winning ways with leading Budimir and Osasuna sees… Europe!

by

The “beginning is half of everything” says the wise people and the Osasuna confirmed it to the absolute extent, as he scored two goals in the first ten minutes and won 3-2 Betis for its 30th game La Liga. The Pamplona team returned to winning ways after the away defeat by Rayo Vallecano and dropped to -2 from the 7th place that gives a conditional European ticket, while the Andalusian club remained in 5th place and -3 from the top four, with game more.

Essentially, the supersonic start of the home team and specifically the first 10 minutes of the match decided everything. In the 6th Kike Baria made a very insightful pass to Budimir who with a cool finish made it 1-0.

Five minutes later, the task of the first goal was repeated with them Baria and Budimir to work together again and give a big lead early on Osasuna. The Spanish winger produced a superb cross and the Croatian headed home from close range to make it 2-0.

THE Betis reacted immediately and in the 16th minute it was reduced to 2-1 when Luis Enrique unleashed a powerful shot, the ball found the Mirandachanged course and found himself in Herrera’s net.

However, the Pamplona side were not affected and continued to control the tempo and try to become threatening. In fact, in the 41st minute he made it 3-1 with his shot Moncaiola at the edge of the area and went to the locker room with the best possible mentality.

In the second part, Pellegrini he tried to make his team more aggressive by bringing Canales and Sanchez onto the pitch. The Spanish Cup winners skyrocketed their performance and in the 70th minute reduced it to 3-2 with Guido Rodríguez’s header after a nice cross from Sanchez.

From that point until the final whistle, the Betis pushed for an equaliser, but Osasuna responded superbly, clearing away all danger and taking a valuable win in the ‘battle’ for a European ticket.
