AEK passed Agios Thomas and leveled the series!

Playing excellent volleyball from time to time, AEK went through the Agios Thomas Indoor Stadium in an imposing manner, prevailing 3-1 set of Panathinaikos in Game 2 of the Women’s Volleyball League semifinal series, tying the series!

Despite the fact that the “greens” won the first set, the guests showed character afterwards by reacting in an exemplary manner and sent the series to a third match to be held in New Philadelphia.

The match


THE AEK came into the match very strongly, taking the lead by 6-2 and 7-4. Somewhere there, Panathinaikos he reacted and with an 8-2 run went ahead (12-9), with the two teams then going point-for-point. The “greens” had a chance to close the first set at 24-23, however, the visitors with two consecutive points made it 25-24, with the home team finally taking the set with 27-25.

The scene was similar in the second set, with the two teams going hand in hand (9-9), before the team of Yiannis Kalmazidis escaped with 13-10 and 18-15. The “yellow and black” equalized at 22-22, and thanks to their good finishes in the final, they made it 1-1, winning the second set with a score of 26-24.

The sets: 27-25, 24-26, 23-25, 23-25.
