It can mainly compete in Second division of Germany in recent years, however the Fortuna Dusseldorf it has a large fan base and gathers plenty of people in its 54,000-seat stadium.
However, aiming at… permanent sold out, the club’s managers decided to design a futuristic plan, which will essentially allow the free entry in the “Merkur-Spiel Arena”!
The design heard in the name “Fortune for All” and is intended to replace ticket revenue from sponsorsso that there is no longer the need to pay a fee for entry to home matches.
The club are hopeful that the money lost from ticket sales will be covered by sponsors who will look to capitalize on the popularity the club will gain thanks to this original initiative.
It is noted that Fortuna has this year an average of 29,378 spectators per matchwith the team being 6th in the standings and having only mathematical hopes for entering the playoffs.
When Football sacrifices everything on the altar of commercialization, and takes it away from the fans.
Not with my home club, not with @f95.
FREE ENTRY TO ALL HOME GAMES IN THE FUTURE.THIS. IS. DUSSELDORF! https://t.co/SPWyGCrs2c
