Run Bike Care registrations are now open

Athens, May 5, 2023 – The time has come for us all to participate and unite for a good cause. This year’s action Run – Bike – Care, organized by Association of Volunteer Cancer Patients – Friends of Doctors “K.E.F.I.” Athens her Sunday, June 11, 2023, in its center Athens, in Zappeion but also in other cities of Greece, invites people of all ages and abilities to run, walk or take their bike by supporting the “Together and at Home” program.

The Run Bike Care 2023 includes 5km run or walk and one 10km bike ride with a starting and ending point the iconic Zappeion Megaron which is a historical heritage in Greek Culture.

The action except the Athena will be held nationwide and in Thessaloniki, at Larisa, at Ghoul, at Syros, at Chania, in the Gythio and elsewhere.

All his income Run Bike Care in the “Together and at Home” Program

The proceeds from this year’s Run – Bike – Care event will fund the “Together and at Home” program, which constitutes the realization of the vision of K.E.F.I. to improve the quality of life of oncology patients and their families who are unable to move from their homes. The program started its operation in September 2018 and since then it has not stopped supporting people in their home by providing psychological and social support. The services are provided free of charge to oncological patients who meet the following conditions: a) serious health condition, b) inability to move, c) financial & family situation.

The Run – Bike – Care is an action of celebration for all those who survived and memory of those who have passed away due to cancer. On the occasion of her World Cancer Survivors Day, the K.E.F.I. Association has set her 11^the June 2023 as a day of awakening and awareness for all, uniting the voices of all people who have lived a cancer experience. With the message “Run – Bike – Get Informed” people of all ages and abilities will take part without competition, either as runners, or as walkers, or on their bike, in a pleasant walk in the center of Athens but also in other cities of Greece, putting into practice the motto of K.E.F.I. “We Run Faster Than Cancer”.

With the official hashtag of the organization #runbikecare this year we are joining forces on social media to raise awareness of the whole world.
