The international midfielder, in fact, invited Sergio Araujo to return from Spain, where he is recuperating, to lift the champion’s trophy as captain on Sunday.

A.M: “Last year was the height of failure. When you’re in one of the big four and you don’t win titles it’s strange. It definitely affected me. I know my potential, I knew that AEK will be at the top in the coming years.”

A.M: “Sergio has to be here, get his legs and come. The cup will not be lifted by me, but by Sergio, Steven, Damian and the kid from here.”
