His second Game 5 in as many seasons gives the Euroleague the Danilo Andjusic.

The leader of Partizan has before him the great confrontation of the “black and white” with Real Madridwhile last year as its player Monaco play do or die game with him Olympic in SEF.

In an interview with BasketNews, Mr Andjusic spoke about the whole matter. He commented on the tragic event in Serbia with the mass murder in a school, his tenure at Partizan, but also his experience from last year’s Game 5 that he gave to Piraeus.

In detail what he said:

On the tragic mass murder in a school in Belgrade: “I have two children, I have two boys. I was really stressed and nervous after what happened. You cannot send your children to school and not think about their safety. I really connect with what people are feeling right now. This is the loss of the whole society in Serbia. We need to talk to our children, we need to spend more time with our children because this thing cannot happen again. We must give ourselves to our children so that they can become good people one day.”

For Game 4 with Real: “It was a difficult game, especially because of the situation we are in in Serbia and because of what happened. It affected everyone at the beginning, we didn’t have the right focus from there from the first moment, which you could see. We didn’t start well, they had a big lead at the beginning, but then we managed to come back. We played a good game, but in critical moments when we could have taken control, we didn’t make the right decisions, especially in attack. That’s why we didn’t win the game. We fought until the end, we gave everything we had, but I think we didn’t play like we usually do, especially in attack.”

I think the game in Madrid will be completely different. Of course, all the people here wanted us to win this game and celebrate the victory together, and we’re sad about that, but nothing is lost, we feel their support and I’m really grateful to have this kind of fans.”

About his presence in Partizan: “When you play for Partizan, it’s a completely different story, especially for me. As I have said many times, Partizan is my team. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been cheering for Partizan. Playing for this team and this jersey gives me special feelings and extra motivation. When you see all these people cheering you on the streets… it’s something really special in this country and this city, especially for me. I can’t compare this feeling to anything. This is the main reason I came back. I wanted to feel the emotions and love for basketball again. When you feel all these, you enjoy the game. I think enjoying the game is the most important thing.”

On last year’s Game 5, when he faced Olympiakos in a Monaco jersey: “It was crazy last year because we played Olympiakos. We played away, Kevin Durant was in the game. They had amazing fans, cheering like crazy. They also have good fans. Not like us, I’d say, but they’re also great fans. I really enjoyed playing in that atmosphere. Here, when you have people behind you deifying you, it’s a different story. It’s much more enjoyable.”
