Second “hit” by Panathinaikos AO within the day, regarding the staffing of the women’s basketball team for the new season…
And that’s because, after Adriana Cvitanovicthe acquisition of Lilias-Anna Karakasidou was also announced, who returned to the “clover” after four years, having had a great year!
The relevant announcement in detail:
“The Panathinaikos Athletic Club announces the start of its collaboration with Lilia-Anna Karakasidou for the women’s basketball department in the 2023-2024 season.
The Association made a strong transfer move as it added Lilia-Anna Karakasidou to its dynamic team.
The 22-year-old playmaker (1.65m.) had a very good season last year with Eleftheria Moschatos and undoubtedly strengthens the “clover”. She was top scorer in this year’s cup final and top scorer in last year’s cup final four.
Karakasidou comes from the academies of Faros Keratsiniou and subsequently competed in his first team.
He was acquired by Panathinaikos in 2019 and stayed for one year while the following year he competed with the colors of Dafni Agios Dimitrios.
In 2021, he was acquired by Eleftheria Moschatos and now comes to wear the “green” again.
In a statement on www.pao1908.com, Karakasidou said: “I am very happy to return to Panathinaikos after four years. I want to thank the management of Panathinaikos and especially Lolita Lymoura and coach Capoyannis for the trust they showed in me. I can’t wait to compete again with the green jersey and play for the world of Panathinaikos. I wish the Association many successes”.
