The Basketball Champions League is judged this three days in Malaga. The four teams that survived a very competitive season reached the Final 4 and will compete for the big title in the FIBA tournament.
The start is at 18:30 (COSMOTE Sport 9) with the title holder Tenerife to face her Hapoel Jerusalem. Chus Vidoretta’s side will be playing in the semi-finals for the fourth time having won the previous three, in 2017, 2019 and 2022, and have won the trophy twice. The Israeli team, which eliminated AEK 2-1 in the playoffs, reaches the Final 4 for the first time and will claim the second European title in its history after the 2004 ULEB Cup.
At 21:30 (COSMOTE Sport 9) the hostess Malaga will face the Bonn in the second semi-final. Imbon Navarro’s side are called upon to confirm the title of the big favourites, both because of their excellent run this year which has already won them the Spanish Cup, and because of home advantage. A big goal is none other than the third European trophy for the Andalusians, after the 2001 Korats Cup and the 2017 Eurocup. Bonn surprised everyone with their performances and reached the European semi-finals for the second time in their history after that of 2017 FIBA Europe Cup, when it lost in doubles to Nanterre.
