Rivaldo: “Cristiano was fooled by the money – Better to go back to Real”

In a decision that no one expected, last January o Cristiano Ronaldo agreed with her Al Nasrreceiving the incredible contract of 500 million euros for 2.5 years.

Since then, the Portuguese star has been competing in Saudi Arabia, where he does not seem satisfied, at least at a competitive level.

THE Rivaldo spoke to “Mundo Deportivo” about Cristiano’s case, stressing that the Portuguese was probably lured by the money he received without knowing that life in Saudi Arabia is not that easy. In fact, the Brazilian former Olympiakos and AEK player pointed out that it would be ideal for Ronaldo to end his career at Real.

In detail what he said:

“I understand that sometimes players are fooled by the big contracts they sign in Saudi Arabia, where life is more closed and football is not as easy as they expect.

So, you might be going through a phase of frustration or having second thoughts. Unless the money is enough to come as a counterweight to a life that is not so happy. It would be good for him and football to see Cristiano Ronaldo return to Real and finish his career there.”
