Tottenham are in discussions with the Dutch coach Arne Slott, who are looking for the chosen one for their bench. The people at the London club are particularly impressed by the Feyenoord coach and want to complete the procedures for his acquisition by next week. The deal is not yet complete but the discussions are going very well and there is a positive mood from both sides.
However, after his highly successful spell at Feyenoord, people at the Dutch club want to keep him on a new contract before he agrees a deal with the Londoners.
The Dutchman has spent two seasons at Feyenoord, having started his coaching career at Alkmaar. Last year he reached the final of the Europa Conference League with the Dutch team, leading them to their first European final since 2002. This year he won the Dutch league, leaving behind Ajax and Eindhoven, returning the club to the top after 2017. At the same time, he was voted as their manager of the year in the Eredivisie for the 2021-22 season.
Next Saturday (21/5) he will play his 100th game on the Feyenoord bench, while in the 99 he has played so far, he has a 64.65 win percentage with 64 won games, 20 draws and 15 losses.
