The Brazilian government denounces, in the strongest possible terms, the racist attacks that the Brazilian athlete Vinicius Junior has repeatedly suffered in Spain.

Considering the seriousness of the events and the occurrence of yet another unacceptable episode, in a game played yesterday in this country, the Brazilian government deeply regrets that, until now, no effective measures have been taken to prevent and avoid the recurrence of these acts of racism. It urges the government and sports authorities in Spain to take the necessary measures to punish the perpetrators and prevent the repetition of these acts. It also calls on FIFA and the League to implement appropriate measures.

The Government of Brazil has acted in collaboration with the Government of Spain to restrict, repress and promote racial equality policies and share knowledge and good practices to expand access to sport for people of African descent and immigrants, with total intolerance to all discriminatory practices. with support to improve international best practices to promote the prevention and fight against racism, apart from any kind of discrimination in various sports.
