Miltos Tedoglou will have his first race in a long competitive season that begins at the “2nd Cyprus International Athletics Meeting” in Limassol. The “golden” Olympic long distance champion wants to start the open season strongly.

The 25-year-old jumper will face Sweden’s Tobias Modler, who will also be making his open track debut, as well as triple jumper Andreas Pantazis, who will make a long pass before competing in his main event.

Emmanuel Karalis will have the opportunity to raise the bar even higher than last Sunday’s 5.71 in the pole vault. The “silver” European indoor champion in the competition has the best performance for this year among the participants, while Yiannis Rizos, who has lost 5.30 this year, will compete with him.

Polyniki Emmanuilidou will have the opportunity for a strong test. The young sprinter will compete one hour apart in 100 and 200 meters. In her start at the Intercollegiate Games, she showed that she is in good shape.

Three Greek champions will compete in the men’s hammer throw. Michalis Anastasakis is the one who has the best performance of the participants with the 77.42 he threw at the meeting in Alexandria. He will be joined by Christos Franceskakis, who premiered in the open track at the Nairobi meeting with 73.59, but also Ivan Menglebei, who this year improved his individual record with a throw of 74.30.

At the meeting in Filothei, the champion of the high hurdles finished in 13.22 and at the meeting in Limassol she will again be together with the Cypriot Natalia Christofi, who with 13.02 had improved the Cypriot record.

In the 110 meter hurdles, Kostas Douvalidis and Christos Roumtsios will be together at the start. The first comes from the 13.76 he scored in the Interclub Games and the second has this year 4.37, participation limit for the U23 European Championship.
