PAOK’s men’s volleyball department continues to announce players ahead of the new season! The Greek Cup winners, after the officialization of the acquisition of Russo, Van Harderen and Blankenau and the renewal of Van der Dries, made it his own and with the “bullet” Demosthenes Linardos who left Olympiakos.

THE international Greek centralafter a highly successful season with the “red and whites” he signed with the Thessaloniki team in which he will play next season.

PAOK thus becomes the seventh stop of Linardos’ career, after Apollon and EA Patras, Foinikas Syros, Pegasos Polichnis and Kifissia.

The relevant announcement:

“PAOK, and the Men’s Volleyball department, announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Dimosthenis Linardos, for the 2023-2024 season.

Born in Patras on 14/02/1997, Demosthenes Linardos plays as a central player and is 204cm tall.

He took his first steps in volleyball in the 2016-17 season from Apollon Patras, continuing the next season (2017-18) at EA Patras.

In the 2018-19 season, he visited Thessaloniki for the first time, playing for Pegasus Polichnis.

The following season (2019-20) he took the first decisive step in his career, playing in the jersey of Foinikas Syros, with whom he got his first performances from the Men’s Volley League.

He stayed in Syros for the 2020-21 season, winning the League Cup with the “Pirates”.

The 2021-22 season found him in Kifissia, where he stood out with his performances.

The previous season he competed in OSFP, with whom he won the Greek championship and the CEV Challenge Cup, contributing to the titles with his performances.

He is an international player with the National Team of our country, taking part in the final phase of Eurovolley 2021, but also in the qualifying matches for Eurovolley 2023.”
