Official: Castellani is the new coach of Olympiakos

The Piraeus announced that the Argentine is the new coach of the club’s volleyball team, taking the place of Alberto Giulianiwho will continue his career at Hebar.

Greatest moment in his career Castellani is winning the European championship with Poland in 2009.

He has also won the CEV Challenge Cup in 2014 with Fenerbahçe and has 13 titles at club level (two Argentinian leagues, four Polish Cups, three Polish leagues, one Turkish Super Cup, one Turkish Cup, one Turkish League and one Belgian Super Cup ).

OLYMPIAN S.F.P. announces the start of his collaboration with Daniel Castellani. The Argentinian coach (born 21/3/1961) takes over the technical leadership of the club’s Men’s volleyball team.

The new coach of Thrylos is considered one of the greatest in world volleyball, with a long career both at national and collective level. He is at No.58 in the world rankings of coaches, counting 19 titles in his resume and many medals.

Daniel Castellani is the Federal coach of the Argentina Women’s National team, while in the past (1994-99), he also worked for the Men’s team. Nationally, the 62-year-old coach was also in Poland, with whom he won the gold medal at the 2009 European Championships, as well as in Finland.

Under his belt, Daniel Castellani has, among others, three Polish championships, with Skra, two more in Argentina, with Bolivar and one in Turkey, in his first “term” at Fenerbahce. With the Turkish team, he also won the Challenge Cup in 2013-14.
