Typhoon Tsitsipas made it to the “8” of Roland Garros and now… the hard part!

In his quarterfinals Roland Garros qualified for the third time in his career Stefanos Tsitsipasprevailing 7-5, 6-3, 6-0 by Sebastian Offner.

The top Greek tennis player struggled only in the first set. In the next two he was sweeping and returned to the “8” of the Paris Grand Slam, after a year’s absence.

There, however, the difficulties begin, since he is waiting for him for a… early final the No. 1 ranking, o Carlos Alcarathwho earlier prevailed 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 of Lorenzo Musetti.

Despite the easy mistakes, Tsitsipas dominated the first set thanks to his first serve. The set started badly, after Offner surprised him and made the break. The Greek tennis player erased it at 3-3 and took the lead for the first time with 4-3, erasing the opponent’s break point. Ofner comfortably held his serve for 4-4 and pressure for the break, but Tsistipas did not allow him to do so and made it 5-4, while he reached three sets of bowls that the Austrian “erased”. The 24-year-old Greek held his serve hard again and broke me for the 1-0 set in 51 minutes.

The next two, however, lasted a few minutes longer than the first…marathon set. Stefanos Tsitsipas completed the second set without making an effortless error and held his serve emphatically, leaving no room for Ofner. The two tennis players comfortably held their serve until 3-2 in favor of Stefanos, who then swept. He won three straight games and reached 5-2. Ofner had the last reaction with a love game for 5-3, but Tsitsipas made the 2-0 set 6-3. Tsitsipas’ triumph was emphatically completed as he swept the third set 6-0 and wrapped up the match in one hour and fifty minutes.
