FIBA’s first official esports event is already set, with qualifiers in the fall and finals in December, and the EEC is moving to create the National team that will represent the country.

The Hellenic Basketball Federation (EEC) is taking the first step in the eSports world by creating a National Team to represent Greece in the next FIBA ​​eSports events. This is specifically about the qualifying “windows” in the coming October and November and the final phase between December 11-17, 2023.
The selection of the members of the National esports Team will be done through the organization of a pre-selection tournament which will take place in Athens on 1-2/07/2023 and will contain the following phases:
1 on 1 tournament based on the position of the players and the purpose of selecting the 3 best per position.
5 on 5 mini-tournament with the aim of selecting the best possible ten that will make up the composition of the National eSports team.
Those wishing to participate in the pre-selection process for the members of the National eSports team should meet the following conditions:
To have completed their 16th year of age.
Have Greek citizenship.
Have their own Pro-Am player in NBA 2K23 on PlayStation 5.
The PSN ID they use must not contain offensive language.
Have an active PS Plus subscription.
Those interested can submit an online application for participation here until 06/23/2023.
The final participants in the pre-qualification tournament will be selected based on their stats, the positions they compete in and their team spirit. Priority will be given to the Pro-Am whose statistics reach the 95 overall rating. In any case, the EEC is solely responsible for the selection of players to take part in the pre-qualification tournament.
The final participants in the pre-qualification tournament will be notified by e-mail to the e-mail address (e-mail) they indicated in the application for participation.
