After Tavropoulos, Sahpatzidis and Antonakis, o Panionios also announced the renewal of cooperation with Stathis Papadionisiou. The 30-year-old guard/forward had a significant contribution to the team’s rise to the Elite League Erricos Dunan, but also to the participation in the Final 8 of the Cup through the conquest of the UNICEF Trophy.

PANIONIOS and Stathis Papadionisiou will continue their joint journey in the 2023-2024 season in the Erricos Dunan Elite League after their completely successful partnership during the period that ended when the Team won the double.
Stathis Papadionisiou was born on September 15, 1992 and is 1.95m tall.
He competed successively in AEK, Pagrati, Aeolo Astakou, Irakli, Charilaos Trikoupi (two terms) and Olympiacos B’- Development team.
In the 2019-2020 season, he celebrated promotion to the Basket League with Charilaos Trikoupis’ team where he was a teammate with Tasos Antonakis and Yiannis Sahpatzidis. He also won promotion to the Basket League and the 2020-2021 season with the Olympiakos Development Team.
In the 2021-2022 season he competed for Charilaos Trikoupis in the A2 Category championship.
With PANIONIO in the 2022-2023 season, Errikos Dunan won promotion to the Elite League as well as the National Category Cup (UNICEF TROPHY).
He was one of the main players of the team as in 28.3′ (more time than any other teammate) in 24 games in the league he averaged 11.5 points with 62% on two-pointers and 41% on three-pointers. He also had 3.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.4 steals (first in the relevant category).
Stathis Papadionisiou stated the following:
