No tsunami warning was issued after the earthquake, which had a focal depth of 10 kilometers, according to a tsunami warning center in the Pacific.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located 26 kilometers from the city of La, a population of over 76,000 inhabitants and is located in the province of Morobe in the country, according to USGS.
