New two-year contract with AEK signed the Serbian goalkeeper, Igor Arsic. Instead, he leaves the group o Maximilian Tick.

The announcement:

AEK is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with Igor Arsic. The 33-year-old (19/10/1989) 1.88m Serbian goalkeeper has signed a new two-year contract and will defend the men’s Handball team until the summer of 2025.

Igor Arsits contributed the most to the return of AEK to the throne of Greek handball, adding another championship to his palmare with the “yellow and black”, as he was also a member of the Champion team of 2019-20.

After the agreement was formalized, Igor Arsic told aek.gr: “We had a very competitive season, but we came out of it champions and stronger. And being part of such a great organization makes you feel good. My goals are the same as AEK’s and this is the main reason why I chose to stay. But there is also something personal… Few people know that three years ago, when I came to AEK, I got married in New Philadelphia. That’s why, for me, this renewal is like staying at home. A big thank you to the people of the club and the President, for the trust they show in me. And I promise to give 100% of myself and even more».

Igor, good luck in the new season!
